SoFunFinity was founded with a clear mission: to transform how students experience mathematics during the most critical years of their education.


Too many learners lose confidence in their ability simply because their learning hasn’t been tailored to their pace, needs, or potential. SoFunFinity was created to change that.

Too many learners lose confidence in their ability simply because their learning hasn’t been tailored to their pace, needs, or potential. SoFunFinity was created to change that. 


While students benefit from strong foundations early on, it is during Years 9 to 11 that the stakes and the stress often increase. These are the years where confidence can falter, gaps widen, and academic pressure intensifies. 


By focusing on this pivotal stage, SoFunFinity provides timely, targeted support that makes a real difference - helping students build confidence, deepen understanding, and succeed when it matters most.

Every student deserves the chance to succeed in mathematics - whether they’re building confidence or striving for the very top grades. My goal is to help every learner thrive by creating a supportive, structured environment rooted in clarity, encouragement, and high expectations.

Every student deserves the chance to succeed in mathematics - whether they’re building confidence or striving for the very top grades. My goal is to help every learner thrive by creating a supportive, structured environment rooted in clarity, encouragement, and high expectations.


Learning should be more than exam preparation. It should foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine understanding of how and why maths works. I aim to help students recognise patterns, make connections, and ask meaningful questions.


At the heart of my approach is a belief in education for life: nurturing independent thinkers who are motivated to take ownership of their progress, grow in confidence, and reach their full potential.



EXPERIENCE & CREDENTIALS

I am a fully qualified UK mathematics teacher and tutor with over 20 years of experience, specialising in secondary and sixth form education, with additional experience supporting Year 6 students. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and a PGCE in Secondary Education.

Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of maths courses across UK educational settings - including state schools, independent schools, colleges, adult education and private tuition. My teaching experience includes:


  • GCSE and IGCSE Mathematics  
  • GCSE Statistics 
  • Key Stage 2 & Key Stage 3 Maths 
  • A Level Mathematics 
  • Common Entrance preparation 
  • Core Maths 
  • BTEC Mathematics in Engineering
  • Functional Skills 


 I am fully DBS checked and insured, ensuring that every session is safe, professional, and focused on meaningful progress.


Beyond classroom teaching, I have mentored newly qualified teachers, led maths initiatives, and worked collaboratively across schools and colleges to raise attainment and share best practice. 


At the heart of my teaching is a commitment to helping every student thrive - whether they need to build confidence, secure a pass, or aim for top grades. I support learners to:


  • Build strong foundations and deep understanding 
  • Develop confidence and a positive attitude to maths 
  • Aspire to reach their full potential 
  • Achieve their target grades -from secure passes to the highest outcomes


Beyond exam preparation, I encourage students to explore the why behind the maths they learn - to recognise patterns, make connections across topics, and develop genuine mathematical insight. These habits of thinking not only improve exam performance but build confidence and curiosity that lasts beyond the classroom.
